Prism Bags Largest Powder coating plant order in Chennai

Prism surface coatings has bagged yet another feather in its cap which is the largest powder coating plant order for a Japanese company known as Fujitec in chennai. The location is Mahindra world city. This is the first time a Fujitec has awarded a powder coating plant to a non Japanese company such as Prism after visitng our plant.

We thank Fujitec for this wonderful opportunity given to us to be part of their growth story in India.Prism has installed numerous powder coating plants for various manufacturers in Chennai.

Why Prism Never Uses Pre coated sheets/Corrugated sheets in Drying Ovens?

One of the cost cutting tricks or cutting on quality used in the paint shop industry is to use pre coated sheets and corrugated sheets in paint and powder coating drying ovens. As a company its against our founders policy and company’s policy to indulge in such methods. However customers must know why certain suppliers use this and what are the disadvantages of using these type of sheets in their ovens.

The first disadvantage is it takes lot of time to install such sheets. It requires site fabrication and the structures are usually not stable enough for using it as a drying oven. The second disadvantage is the strength of the material of precoated or corrugated is very less and is prone to damage if an external force is applied. GI panels have much more stability and strength in its structures. The third disadvantage is that precoated sheets destroy the aesthetics of the oven or the plant. These were old cost cutting tricks used by the Chinese and still used by many Indian paint shop suppliers present in Pune and Delhi.

Applications Where Shower Rain Tester Booths Is Used

Let us discuss why a shower or a rain simulator booth is required? Shower tester booths are mainly required to test for water leakage inside a vehicle or to test water will enter into areas where its not supposed to enter. This is usually done after assembly of a vehicle. This is usually done to test the efficiency of assembly of a particular vehicle. So a shower tester booth is usually installed in factories followed by an air blow zone. This Air Blow zone is to dry off any excess water on the vehicle. The applications that need a shower tester booth are cars, buses , trucks, rail coaches, locomotives, metro bogies, two wheeler bikes, construction machinery, small aircraft etc.
