Symptoms Of A Bad Paint/Powder Drying Oven

How to know if your paint or powder curing oven is giving you issues? The paint curing oven is one of the most important part of your painting line and a bad curing oven can lead to a lot of risk and decreased productivity. Your curing oven should be able to satisfy all cure  parameters and perform consistently.

Some of the side effects or symptoms of  poorly designed paint curing oven are heat loss, chipping, poor airflow, orange peel, poor adhesion, difference in gloss, uneven colors/shade mismatching, poor chemical resistance, poor corrosion resistance etc. To avoid all these issues the paint curing oven must be designed properly with proper air flow and efficient heat exchangers (indirect heating). Prism ovens are well designed and known for their temperature accuracy. This is achieved through an effective air seal between the oven and the outside ambient conditions. Painting plastic bumpers for cars is probably one of the most challenging automobile parts from the point of painting technology. This is due to to the shades that has to match the original car paint shade which is painted in a different paint shop or a painting line.The main challenge is to obtain very high first pass quality(increased rejection levels leads to increased expenses) and high level of automation considering various configuration of the bumpers and many different shades of colors. How 3 Axis Platforms increases productivity in Paint booths?

Painting large equipment’s such as Aircraft’s, trucks , buses, rail coaches/locomotives , power transformers , wind mills and other components can be difficult to paint as some areas are hard to reach. This becomes increasing difficult for the operator to keep using manual ladders or platforms to paint the difficult areas. This can lead to finish issues, decreased productivity , operator fatigue and increasing the cost of repainting. To overcome these issues Prism introduces the ‘Tall Boy’ which is a Pneumatic 3 axis platform which can be fitted in your paint booths or Blast rooms. All our platforms are completely Pneumatic (powered by air) and not electric because of the explosive atmosphere present in Paint booths where any spark can be a hazardous in the paint booth. We also dont use hydraulic platforms because there could be a possibility of oil leakage and could affect the finish.Also your maintenance costs will increase as the booth needs to be regularly cleaned if here is oil leakage.
